Faye is on vacation today and all next week so Uncle Ryan came over to help with the kids while I worked at home today. Amir was easy. Lyla needs entertainment. Who better than her awesome uncle?!
Amir spent the day sucking his thumb, eating, and sleeping. H did play a little bit, but it seems his thumb is all he wants. Ryan and Lyla played pregnant, sheriff, puppets, puzzles, drawing and probably a bunch of other stuff. Lyla kept the door closed "so we can have the room to ourselves".
They went to the park after lunch, then came back for a rest. Then they played some more. Lyla was very sad Ryan had to leave. She wanted him to stays the night. He is flat out AWESOME with kids. I don't think I realized what a great teacher he is or how great he is at communicating with kids. Lyla had a ton of fun, at her fruit, and cleaned her room. My brother is totally amazing.
After Ryan left we worked on packing up for vacation. Amir is getting the trunk and head strength to hang out in the bumbo, and this time we're only asking the umbrella stroller. Looking forward to our first long trip since Disney!
