The week has gone fast this week, but that doesn't stop us! Lyla is winding things down at school and has started to bring home long term projects like her family published book, a picture of herself she drew in September compared to now, and three math and science tests in a row with 100% scores! Today we got the official invite for her graduation ceremony. She's also excited for game day, the school walk-a-thon, and the end of PT.
Amir is walking everywhere now. He has discovered the freedom it gives him and is all over the place all the time! He walks to our door from the elevator and met me at the edge of the patio at Faye's the other day. Today he was waiting at the screen door for me and his face light up when he saw me. One of my favorite mom moments! He talks now and babbles all the time. If he's quiet and I can't see him, he's into something. Favorites are Masud's desk, the kitchen cupboards, and the vacuum. He says mama, dada, lyla, ball, ya-yal (cereal), more, and all done pretty consistently. He is a good mimic and sometimes he hits it right on. Last night I swear he said living room plain as day!
Lyla impressed me this week not only by making a rainbow loom bracelet in OT, but also by reading several Little Critter books out loud all by herself! She is so proud and loves to read to Amir. She reads the words she knows and sounds out the new words. I love seeing her excited to read!
