Step Up for Down Syndrome

Today was our second year participating in the Step Up for Down Syndrome walk at Como Park. We are very proud to be part of Cece's Cruiser's! Lyla and I met up with Mom and Dad to hand off Amir and get a ride to the park. It's always crowded, so Mom dropped us off. 

The day was hot and the terrain was tough to navigate in Lyla's chair, but everyone took their turn. We got hot about half way through the two mile walk and turned back to the park via a shadier route. 

After we got back we had sandwiches and treats and enjoyed the company. Lyla took off her boots and shoes and cooled off with a coke zero. It was great to spend time with our friends and celebrate an awesome little lady. I'm so glad we're all friends -- we can't wait for next year!
