2 Month Doctor Visit

Amir had his 2 month doctor visit today. He did well and cried during his shots, but that was to be expected. Dr. Yunis checked his eyes and ears and actually tested the motor and social milestones I said Amir could do. He was able to do everything on the sheet including smiling, holding up his head and head while on his tummy, kicking and moving his arms freely, and having a different cry when he is hungry. There were more things, but I don't remember them. Either way, he passed with flying colors. 

He weighed in at 14 pounds and was 24 inches long. His head measured 15 and 3/4 inches. All of these put him somewhere in the range of 85 to 90th percentiles. 

Lyla came along and held his hand while he got his shots. He got the rotavirus vaccine orally, then the pentacel, hepatitis b, and pneumonia shots in his legs. He did well and settled easily afterward. I breast fed him right before and after, which helped. 

He finished eating at Gillette while Lyla was fitted for her new AFOs. We played while we waited and everyone was happy, but he was a little fussy by the time we got home and so was Lyla -- the new afos and shoes take a little time to break in. Amir had his first dose of Tylenol, then settled  into is usually nightly feeding pattern. We've got a big day tomorrow, so now it's off to bed!
