KY: Day Three

Today Lyla started out the day with a shower and her new lip gloss from Patty. Shoe loved it and felt beautiful. We had a fashion show in. The hotel room while we waited for the boys to get ready.

Today's adventure was a little more tame, but still fun. We went to a railroad museum here in Bowling Green. Lyla had a great time seeing and trying out the different rail cars. She got to be the engineer, sort the mail, dig in the dining car, a Pullman car, and the president's car. It was similar to the train Masud and I were on back in 2008 for the whistle stop tour. Amir mostly cried the whole time. He snuggled up to a pillow in the Pullman car, and would probably have laid down if he was allowed.

Lyla liked playing hobo and climbing on the trains. Amir was fascinated by the electric trains and enjoyed wandering around the small exhibit hall.

There was a great park across the street from the museum, so we spent some time outside just playing. Both kids did the swings, climbed the rock wall and walked around. We would have stayed longer if it was't 87 and super humid.

We had nap time, then swim time (lyla dunked some more and jumped in!), then called Grandma before heading out to pick up dinner. Lyla wanted to bring dinner back to the hotel, so we got Little Caesar's.

Amir loved the breadsticks and dipping sauce and had some pizza too. Lyla ate most of the breadsticks. More fun to come tomorrow!
