Sunday after the party we had dinner at Mac and then went shopping. Since Mac and rides aren't really things Amir can take part in, we decided to have a day at the zoo just me, Masud and Amir.
It wasn't his first visit to the zoo, but it was his first time seeing the outside stuff and it was a perfect day. The animals were active and we saw the grizzlies and the Amur leopard closer than we have before. It was nice to spend time out with just the three of us. It made me think of when we were out with Lyla in the bjorn (check out March 2009 on babymamun.blogspot.com). For as nuts as thing feel some days, I love having special moments with Amir, even when I'm replicating things we did with Lyla, like this picture. I want to have special times with him and Monday was just that -- time for us to be with and focus on our son!
After the zoo, we stopped to see Great Grandma. Amir is working on his smiling and Grandma got to see it. She enjoyed talking with him and holding him. She said he reminds her of Scott because he had dark hair too.
Then, of course, we picked up Miss Lyla from daycare. We had a good night at home together watching her master the art of the selfie.
