Sunday was the big day when Lyla got to attend her friend Lindsey's birthday party. She had been waiting for weeks and was extra excited for this party because it was "my locker mate's party!" She was supposed to dress like a pirate or princess, so she rocked her hello kitty skirt and a tiara.
Everyone had a great time playing games, eating and breaking a piñata. Lyla was excited to see her friends from school and introduce me and Amir. When Lindsey's dad had to leave and get stitches in his head (piñata mishap), Lyla did a great job consoling her. I was happy to see Lyla holding her own in such a "typical" social situation. She had an awesome time!
