Sioux Falls Day 1 & 2

We're on the road again and Max is right here with us. He read the directions and guarded the snacks. 

Amir munched on his banana while we drove. Lyla took a nap most of the way and we watched Paw 

Patrol and Kung Fu Panda the rest of the way. It was nice to get to our destination in only a few hours. The hotel is great! We opted for a Sheraton this time and are loving a little more luxury. The kids especially like the glass elevators and the bed is amazing. 

Today we went to the Great Plains Zoo and Falls Park. The "museum collection" was a hit. The kids liked the elephant, walrus, and moose. 

They also had a little play area with animals to climb on. Amir loved the safari jeep and Lyla liked climbing on the hippo and jaguar.

Then it was time to head outside. The weather was perfect! We took a casual stroll around the zoo and saw animals from Australia, Africa, and Asia. Amir fell in a mud puddle and got very wet playing at the cow milking station. You're not having fun unless you get messy! Still, he was fascinated by the hand foam squirters.

After lunch and naps, we headed out to Falls Park. We had fun walking on the rocks and climbing all over that place. Amir was just a baby when we were her last year! Lyla did an awesome job on the rocks and can't wait to go back for mor tomorrow. 

There were some ducks and geese at the falls. We found these great footprints. 

Lyla found another set and added her own.

To cap it off, we saw a hot air balloon over the falls. It was a beautiful night!
