Happy Birthday Amir -- 27 Weeks!

Fun Thursdays continue! This week you're 27 weeks old and a very very happy boy! In just a week you've become a confident sitter, you reach for -- and grab -- anything within arms reach, and you're talking up a storm!

You're not sleeping through the night, but you're down to only two wake ups. I have been slowly giving you less and less milk hoping you will learn that 12:30 and 3:30 are not the time to be awake eating. You've been loving peas all week at Faye's and eat a whole number two baby food at home most nights. Carrots are still your favorite.

In addition to "I love Lyla," you said "hey" a few times this week. You also learned to say Ba, which usually comes out as "Ababababababa" or "bubububub," though I have heard something a lot like "bubble" a couple times. And sometime you just shriek and squeal for fun. It's so fun to hear your voice!

You like to play and are very curious about the world around you. Today you learned that if you bang your toy on the crib rail it makes a fun sound. Good thing your sister can sleep through anything!

Lyla has had a good week back at school. Last night we had family connections, then went to the Teddy Bear Band where she saw her friend Lindsey. They had a great time running around, dancing, and playing dress up. 

The weeks are busy, but we're having fun. Amir is thriving at Faye's and Lyla is kicking butt at school. She works hard on her homework every night and loves reading and writing. I am amazed at how much she has learned in only six weeks!
