After a full morning of therapies, psych, music and TR, Lyla was officially discharged from Gillette Rehab! We left around 12:15 and with a stop at Walgreens we were home around 1:15. The apartment was a little messy since we haven't been living here for three weeks, but with a lot of help from Mom we had things cleaned up and looking good in a few hours. All I have left is to clean out the fridge and put away all of our hospital gear and gifts.
Pediatric Home Service came around 4 and got Lyla's oxygen all set up. She will have an oximeter at night and an oxygen concentrator so she can wear a cannula if she dips below 90. She'll have a sleep study April 10 to try to get to the bottom of things. Until we get everything figured out, we'll have to have oz on hand just in case.
I can't say how great it feels to have a hot meal, a hot shower, conditioned hair, shaved legs and lotioned skin. Masud and Lyla are eating pot roast on the couch watching My Little Ponies. I always say that home is wherever we're together, but when home is Herky Home, things feel right.
Dear Emily and Masud,
ReplyDeleteJust read the whole back story on dear Lyla today. Sorry to hear you were at the hospital but glad to hear you're home now. Big prayers going out to all of you.
Much love,
Jessica, Harlan, & Alex
