Happy birthday Little Man! It's been a big week -- You turned10 months on Tuesday and Lyla had her 4 year anniversary of brain surgery! You also started clapping, walking a little with your walking toy, and eating more table food than baby food.
You liked mustard on your burger and LOVED when Lyla shared her juice box. You finally figured out how to drink from a straw! You continue to like pickles and tried green beans, waffles, and tomatoes too. I was a little surprised that you liked the raw tomatoes to be honest. Lyla discovered the briny joy of drinking pickle juice straight from the jar. Mm, mm, good!
Grandmas stopped by therapy today to hang out. You had fun crawling all over the place and finding several strange objects to put in your mouth. You liked playing with the garbage bag, just like at home. You even crawled under some chairs to pick up a crayon you saw. You love to stand up and are getting better at sitting down. You can almost stand on your own, but aren't quite sure. Your left side front tooth is VERY close to breaking through now. That the Lord for snuggle monkey (up top)!
Lyla had a good week. We had a rough day Tuesday because she got her MMR and varicella shots. She hated it, but was very brave and now I don't have to worry about her getting measles. Today Masud took her to Doughnuts and Dads at school. She was looking forward to it all week and she said she had a lot of fun sharing doughnuts and playing games (balance a plate on her head while Masud stacked blocks).
Lyla loves to make Amir laugh any way she can. Tonight it was tickling his feet. I love to watch these two together. It's certainly better than watching Amir stick his finger in an electrical socket (he crawled under the jumpy, pulled up on the wall on the other side, and was on his knees trying to fit his thumb into the holes)! I guess it's time to baby proof!
