Happy happy birthday to our beautiful, smart, funny, caring and all around awesome girl! I can't believe you're already six! Where does time go, honestly? We had a party on Sunday to celebrate you. You chose tacos for the meal again this year and had a Frozen cake (of course!). It was a fun time and great to see you get so excited. You gave a bike riding demonstration and per birthday tradition Ryan and Emily stayed for an after party. You had fun playing with uncle Ryan and singing with your new Frozen karaoke radio purse. Grandma Mavis gave you some screw on earrings. All in all, the party was a hit!
Kitty surprise! She had three kittens. You named the mom Rose, the white baby Rufus, and the two girl kittens Maddie and Sallie.
She wanted her cake to look like Elsa was making the castle, so we did mini cupcakes going up to the larger mountain cake and castle.
And in other big news, you lost your first tooth last night, so you also had a visit from the tooth fairy last night! The tooth had been loose for a while and Monday morning before school you asked me to check it and it was barely even in your mouth. You were so excited to finally loose it and we celebrated as a family as you showed it off to each of us. Daddy said he could see your new tooth coming in, but by the time I looked later in the afternoon it had kind of healed over. Our girl really is growing up!
Miss Lyla Mavis, you are truly an amazing and inspirational girl. You make me smile every day. You make me laugh, you make me think on my feet, and you make me so proud to be your mom. I honestly never imagined how awesome a kid you could be -- I still don't let myself dream too far into the future -- but you show me every day that being yourself and loving life are the most important things. I am SO LUCKY to be your mom, girl. So Lucky.
