Thursday was super hot, but we made the most of it. I finally figured out how to get hot water out of the shower, so Lyla and I got clean while Masud slept in. She wanted breakfast while he took a shower, so she had some peanut butter crackers while watching Cat in the Hat. Yes, that's a diet dr. Pepper for breakfast too.
After Masud was up and we were all ready we headed to the Gingerbread House for real breakfast. Lyla loves the waffles there. And the carousel right outside is fun too. We ride every day on our way out.
Wednesday Belle was at the Village, so Lyla got some good one on one time again.
We also stopped at Amberville for a couple arcade games and a ride on the ice cream truck. She was taking my order and said she would be right over with it.
We went to Sea World where it was a million degrees and we were all super hot. We made it through the Shamu show, but barely. Lyla was SO excited to feed dolphins, but asked if we could just go home after Shamu. She does not do well with the heat or crowds or waiting for anything. We left and came home for lunch and a swim.
While we fully intended to return to Sea World so she could feed the dolphins and see more animals, she had no interest and just wanted to hang out by the pool. After a family nap, she and I got up and went swimming in the small pool by our villa, then took a ride around the hill age on the trolley. After Masud got up, we had dinner and headed to the central hub for the winter wonderland celebration complete with games, gingerbread houses, a parade and Santa.
She also made her wish pillow ... And got one with pink and white unicorns on it. How did they know?!
We finished off the night with a manicure in the La Ti Da Royal Spa and some ice cream.
Yesterday was a little cooler. After breakfast we rode the carousel again and then headed to Epcot after having ice cream.
Lyla liked Soarin' and the Land ride where she ate most of a bagel and a pack of peanut butter crackers. Her favorite part there was the Lion King movie, which she said was very good and too short.
We rode the memo ride and she thought it was great until the deep sea monster was chasing Marlin all over, then she just wanted to be off. She had a lot of fun in the shark play zone and loved having her picture taken.
After the seas we went over to spaceship earth and visited the Siemens lounge. We had to use a special pass code to get in -- twice -- but it was a great place to have some quiet and relax. They also had free sodas and a special entrance to the ride just for wish families.
We came home to have lunch shortly thereafter and Lyla was totally wired. I tried to get her to nap, but ended up napping myself while she and Masud played operation, colored and did who knows what. Fn time with Daddy!
Of course, she fell asleep in the car. She even stayed asleep while I put her in the stroller and during the first part of the Beauty and the Beast show.
Toy Story Mania was the the ride of the night and we did it four times. She loved the arcade style shooting and having the guest assistance pass meant we could do it over and over again with very little wait.
We're having a great time just hanging out and taking things slowly. We're not going to get to everything, but that's ok. Better to have fun and enjoy ourselves than go crazy trying to fit everything in! It's amazing to have time as a family that is care free and slow paced. This morning we're off to breakfast, the mini golf Lyla is "so anxious to play" and then one more day at Disney. Livin' the dream!
