Last week Lyla and Cece were very excited to see each other at Family connections. Lyla got out of the car just as Melanie and CeCe pulled up. "Mom, I'm going to go see my friend," she said. And then she went over to CeCe's car, waved and gave her a hug when she got out. Then they held hands as they walked in. And as they walked out after class. And then then hugged goodbye.
I'm so glad these two are friends. They complement each other well and always have a great time together. All moms worry that their kids won't have any friends, let alone a bestie, but for moms of kids with special needs, it's an even bigger concern. Seeing these two together reassures me that they will always have each other and that they will both have lots of good friends in the future!
