Since there was a giant storm yesterday, we ended up rescheduling Masud's birthday party. But that didn't stop us from having a fun little celebration of our own. Lyla made this lovely picture of our family. I was quite proud of her. I drew Herky and Buddy (she said we could put him in even though he's dead).
Lyla and I had a good time making this snowball/sledding cake for Masud.

As much as we were all looking forward to the party, it was quite nice to have our own little celebration as a family of three. Lyla helped put the candles on and cut the cake. Then we all ate together and Lyla helped Masud open his card. It was very adorable. I love these two!
