Happy Halloween! We had a slow day at home in anticipation of a fun night out. Lyla was ready and waiting when Aunt Emily showed up in her pikachu gear. After awesome chicken noodle soup and dumplings at Faye's, we grabbed an extra Rice Krispie bar each and hit the neighborhood.
The kids had lots of fun. Amir dragged his bag from house to house and Lyla's wings kept falling off until we finally velcroed them to the cuffs of her jacket. It was a beautiful night and many peopl were sitting on their driveways giving out candy or having bonfires. It was great to be warm this year!
Amir got the hang of it after the first street, though he did keep trying to go into people's houses, especially if they had dogs. He didn't say trick or treat, but I heard, "Hi puppy!!" Several times.
After about an hour of going house to house we came home and sorted candy. Amir and Masud went to bed shortly after and the girls stayed up to swap candy, play shopkins and do the whip nae nae. Lyla had an awesome time playing with Aunt Emily as usual.
Loving that Halloween is becoming our family tradition. Uncle Ryan couldn't participate this year because he was home sick. Out little butterfly and turtle both have colds, but we made it and heads lots of fun none the less. Now to keep Amir from eating all of his candy in one day ...
