Another stint in the Minneapolis Hilton ...

This weekend we had fun mixed with "fun". Saturday we went to the MOA with Mm and Dad to see Aunt Emily's choir the Prairie Fire Lady Choir sing at Macy's. Lyla liked seeing the performance and was singing and dancing along.

Afterward, we had lunch and Lyla went on a couple rides with Grandpa. She had fun, but was ready to come home. We ended up in the ER later that night with a fever of 102.4. She got some antibiotics and they cleaned her ears to make sure she didn't have an ear infection (she complained her ear hurt on Friday). We got home around 11:30 and headed to bed.

Sunday Lyla and I had a relaxed morning a home. We made syrup and French toast, colored, painted and watched tv. Ten we got ready for our usual lunch date with Daddy. Lyla had her shoes on and was ready to go when all of a sudden she started crying that her tummy hurt.

She didn't stop crying for an hour and a half and couldn't sit still or keep even a sip of water down for more than 5 seconds. We called the on-call oncologist and talked to her a couple times through the night. Lyla was finally able to calm down and got some rest, but we headed to the clinic Monday morning for a checkup.

After seeing her in person, they hooked her up to a fluid if and hung some antibiotics. We were admitted to the hospital and are still hanging out tonight. We'll maybe go home tomorrow, but only if she eats, drinks and stays fever free.

She had a hi fever again today, so she is on two different kinds of IV antibiotics, Prevacid for the tummy pain, and her regular meds. Today she was very cranky and just miserable in the morning. After some Tylenol she was feeling better, but after it wore off and she took a nap, she was feeling yucky again.

She managed to eat part of a tortilla, half a slice of bread, and a few chips, but didn't want any other lunch or dinner. Even when we told her she can't go home if she doesn't eat, she was not hungry, so obviously her tummy is still sore.

Thankfully she was feeling a little better in the evening tonight. She had a visit from Wicket the dog and Riley the rabbit. Both made her perk up a lot and she enjoyed petting them and talking with their owners. She also did some crafts with Grandma. Thanks to mom and dad for visiting and dinner the past couple nights!
