Back over the Christmas break, Mom and Dad watched Carrie and Jeff's dog while they were away. As a thank you, they gave Mom and Dad tickets to see Mary Poppins at the Orpheum this Spring. Sunday was the day and Lyla was very excited for her special outing with Grandma and Grandpa!
Mom reported that Lyla had a good time taking photos and sat in her seat very well reading the playbill before the show started. She couldn't see well over the people in front of her, so she had to switch off sitting on Mom and Dad's laps, but seemed to enjoy the show. Lyla reported later that there was lots of singing and dancing and she heard the Feed the Birds song I sing to her at bedtime. She needed a bio break right before intermission and good thing -- the place was packed as soon as they walked out!
